The exhibition – “Self-Discovery via Rediscovering India” – presents the vision and select highlights of the vast domain of India Studies through original and digitised artworks, artefacts, archives, and memorabilia from the Tuli Research Centre of India Studies (T.R.I.S.) founded by Neville Tuli.

This Exhibition primarily focuses on the fields of Indian and World Cinema, Modern and Contemporary Fine and Popular Arts & Crafts, Photography, Architectural Heritage, Animal Welfare, Ecological Studies, and the Social Sciences.

Hundreds of research materials and art works are coherently integrated into an exhibition space which tries to express the vast and chaotic energy and rhythms so grasping the soul of one of the world’s greatest civilizations, where six thousand years are still clearly living and breathing in the modern and contemporary.

This Inaugural Exhibition draws on materials belonging to a single vision and collection that positions the contemporary as a living form of the ancient-medieval-modern continuum.

After a three-decade long pioneering journey and sustained search dedicated to the building of cultural institutions and their infrastructure in India, Neville Tuli will publicly share his knowledge and learning-base rooted in the arts, cinema, and their related disciplines, which finally becomes available online and offline to the world with the launch of the Research Centre and its website.

The Archives and Library which are the backbone of this Research Centre will be introduced to India through exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and conferences over the next three months, opening out a conceptual framework and curricula for the first of its kind three-year undergraduate programme for Contemporary India Studies across the world.

The critical need to meaningfully reach the arts and culture to the masses and public, not just the elite and aspirational, must be taken to the next level. Creating an India Studies educational framework is the ideal way to take this vision forward.

“The exhibition introduces one’s vision to reach out freely step by step, wide and deep, to our people, and carry to them a holistic glimpse into the heart, mind and soul of India. It is structured on three levels – the physical object, the archives, and the digital formats – and rooted within the ground and context of sixteen Research Categories which structures the India Studies framework, which my thirty years of understanding India at both theoretical and practical levels has evolved” states Neville Tuli.

These sixteen Research Categories together create the base for the India Studies framework conceptualised by Neville Tuli. Together with the 40,000+ Masterlists, they will create the foundation for the new educational knowledge-base which will be shortly shared on www.tuliresearchcentre.org.

Hopefully this Exhibition will kick-start the critical movement of taking India Studies into every School and University as a specialised subject and begin to once and for all rectify the vast inequality which riddles the Indian educational framework where the arts, cinema and culture are not taught in any manner which allows them to be seen and understood as part of daily life where the creative spirit in all of us is nurtured with the deep respect it fully deserves.

14-year-old Tanvi Grover has emerged as the youngest titleholder of Miss Teen India NY, Miss Teen India USA, and now Miss Teen India Worldwide. The Miss Teen India pageant, owned by imminent Indian Americans Neelam and Dharmatma Saran of Worldwide Pageants based in New York. It is a prestigious international  competition for girls aged 13-18. Contestants represent Indian community  across globe, with contestants required to meet specific criteria, including age, height, and citizenship.

Organized by the Neelam and Dharmatma Saran, the Miss Teen India Worldwide event is a flagship extravaganza held in different parts of the world making it one of the largest and most significant pageants on the global stage. Founded in 1980 and headquartered in New York, the event has witnessed remarkable growth under Sarans  leadership, evolving from Miss Teen India USA to its current international stature.

Tanvi Grover’s journey is as diverse as her talents. A graduate of the renowned New York Film Academy, Tanvi is a versatile artist skilled in competitive American dance styles, violin playing, lacrosse, and writing. Her commitment to various forms of expression is evident in her exploration of ballet, hip-hop, and traditional Indian dance like Kathak. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Tanvi is a staunch advocate for authenticity over perfection on social media, challenging societal stigmas.

जी टीवी पर‌ प्रसारित किया जा रहा और डोम एंटरटेनमेंट द्बारा निर्मित लोकप्रिय शो ‘इक कुड़ी पंजाब दी’ में अब रोमां‌स का ऐसा तड़का देखने को‌ मिलेगा कि दर्शक इस शो को देखते वक्त अपनी नज़रें नहीं हटा सकेंगे. हीर (तनीशा मेहता) को जल्द ही इस बात का एहसास हो जाता है उसे रांझा (अविनाश रेखी) से बेपनाह मोहब्बत है. हीर पर इश्क़ का ऐसा ख़ुमार छाया हुआ है कि उसे अब हर जगह पर रांझा का अक्स दिखाई देता है.

हीर बचपन से उसे प्यार करते आ  रहे रांझा को प्रपोज़ करने के बारे में सोच रही होती है. सबकुछ अच्छा चल रहा होता है कि तभी रांझा की विधवा भाभी तेजी (मोनिका खन्ना) अवतरित होती है जिसकी शादी रांझा से पहले ही तय हो चुकी है.‌ ऐसे में क्या हीर और रांझा को इस जीवन में एक-दूसरे का साथ मिल पाएगा या फिर उन्हें एक-दूजे को पाने के लिए अगला जन्म लेना होगा? यही जी टीवी के दिनों दिन लोकप्रिय होते जा रहे शो ‘इक कुड़ी पंजाब दी’ का केंद्रबिंदु है. उल्लेखनीय है कि सभी कलाकार शो‌, इसमें दिखाए जा रहे रोमांस के पलों और ड्रामा को ख़ूब एन्जॉय कर रहे और शो के नये-नये मोड़ को लेकर काफ़ी उत्साहित हैं.

अविनाश रेखी ने कहा, ‘रोमांस हि या फिर ड्रामा, शो के तमाम सीन्स को बेहतरीन ढंग से फ़िल्माया गया है जिनकी ख़ूबसूरती देखते बनती है.” तनीषा ने शो की तारीफ़ करते हुए कहा, “मुझे हीर का रोमांटिक अंदाज़ बहुत पसंद है, जो न सिर्फ़ भावनात्मक रूप से आकर्षक है बल्कि उसका किरदार भी वास्तविकता के भी बेहद क़रीब नज़र आता है. मुझे अविनाश के साथ इन सीन्स को फ़िल्माने में काफ़ी मज़ा आया.” दोनों ही कलाकारों का कहना है कि वे सीन्स कि बेहतर बनाने के लिए अपने सुझाव देते रहते हैं और अपने काम को बेहतरीन अंदाज़ में अंजाम देने की कोशिश करते हैं.

डोम एंटरटेनमेंट के मोहम्मद मोरानी ने इस मौके पर कहा, “हमारे तमाम कलाकारों का आपस में एक-दूसरे के साथ बढ़िया रिश्ता है और उनकी यही ख़ूबी पर्दे पर भी साफ़ तौर पर नज़र आती है.” आप भी जी टीवी पर रोज़ाना शाम 7.00 बजे ‘इक कुड़ी पंजाब दी’ का लुत्फ़ उठाना ना भूलें.
